We are very pleased to invite you to participate in the First Workshop on “Charting a Course to Carbon Neutrality: Key Insights for Zero-Emission Shipping”, organized by The National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, Pitesti University Center, which will take place on October 21, 2024, between 8³⁰ – 13⁰⁰, at Ramada Pitesti Hotel, Calea București 31, Pitesti 110133.

This workshop takes place within the project Innovative Fuel Cell/Battery-Based Hybrid Zero-Emission Power System for Maritime Transport – 2024/392269 and aims to strengthen cooperation between Romanian and Norwegian institutions. At the same time, the role of this project is to develop and implement innovative solutions based on fuel cell technology for ships, in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote more sustainable and energy-efficient navigation.

Experts in the field of renewable energies will participate and share their experience and facilitate interactive discussions.

The agenda of the event includes:

1.                Integration of fuel cells into ships’ propulsion and energy systems

2.                Evaluation of the latest green propulsion technologies, with a specific focus on hydrogen fuel for specific types of ships operating in the northern and Romanian seas
